Volvo Delivers First EX60 Electric SUVs

Volvo Cars delivered its first EX60 electric SUVs to customers, marking a milestone as the first fully electric car designed, developed, and manufactured in Sweden. The EX60 is built on Volvo’s new SPA3 platform with an 800-volt architecture and is available in three variants, offering up to 500 kW of power and a range of up to 810 kilometres.

The company invested roughly €930 million to modernize its Torslanda plant in Sweden, adding features like a new paint shop and on-site battery assembly, in preparation for the EX60 and future electric vehicles.

Volvo has also begun taking orders for the EX60 in North America, where it starts at $58,400 and is the first Volvo model to include a North American Charging Standard connector for direct access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. Increased deliveries are planned for the second half of the year as Volvo responds to strong demand.
