Pro Mente Villach Supports Mental Health For 35 Years

Pro Mente Villach, a day center for people with chronic mental illnesses, celebrated its 35th anniversary. The center provides structure and support through socio-therapy and household activities. Clients can attend for a few hours or the entire day, with participation being voluntary.
The center offers both theoretical and practical training to help clients maintain independence. Programs include household training, cognitive exercises, nutritional counseling, and cooking classes. Services are tailored to individual needs and abilities based on diagnosis.
Pro Mente Villach began as a self-help group. Today, it employs a full-time clinical psychologist and social worker.
The center receives funding from the Carinthian regional government and currently supports approximately 70 clients daily. There are four Pro Mente day centers located throughout Carinthia.
