Lindian Resources Validates High-Recovery Rare Earths Process

Lindian Resources achieved 98% neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) extraction in independent tests conducted by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) at its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi. The tests validated Lindian’s full downstream processing route, using a conventional sulphuric acid process to produce mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC).

ANSTO also certified the MREC product as exempt from radioactive transport and handling standards set by the International Atomic Energy Agency, building on earlier certification of the concentrate itself. These results reduce technical risks and support Lindian’s goal of establishing Kangankunde as a leading monazite project.

Lindian intends to transfer this validated process to its SARECO processing facility in Kazakhstan. The company recently began active mining at Kangankunde and is progressing construction, aiming for first production in the fourth quarter of 2026. They also established a Singapore office to manage global sales and logistics.
