Dubai Majlis Advances Research Partnerships

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed hosted an innovation majlis at the Dubai Future Foundation in the United Arab Emirates. The meeting brought together leaders from academic and industry sectors involved in the ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ program. The program, directed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, funds and supports researchers translating scientific work into practical solutions.

Attendees included Mattar Al Tayer of the Roads and Transport Authority and Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. Sheikha Latifa met with innovators from Harvard University, the Royal College of Art, and other international institutions. The majlis also saw the signing of memorandums of understanding with AtkinsRéalis and Silal, focusing on infrastructure and food technologies.

Projects like Oxara, Virufy, and P-Vita—focused on construction, diagnostics, and food security—show early success. The program still seeks to broaden its impact and fully realize the potential of emerging technologies. The work to connect research with practical application continues in Dubai.
