GA-ASI Advances European Defense with MQ-9B & Gambit

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is equipping European nations with its MQ-9B SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian aircraft and developing the Gambit series of Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) to address evolving security threats. The MQ-9B provides over 30 hours of endurance for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and is being upgraded with long-range weaponry and short takeoff/landing capabilities.

GA-ASI is also enhancing the MQ-9B with Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) systems to counter drone swarms, alongside integration of the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System. The Gambit series offers an affordable, scalable solution for various missions, sharing approximately 70% of key components to simplify production and lower costs.

GA-ASI plans to build Gambit aircraft in Europe, partnering with European companies, with airframes available for procurement starting in 2027, strengthening transatlantic defense collaboration and ensuring compliance with regional standards.
